Men's Work
What if being a man wasn’t about fitting into a mold but exploring what it truly means for each of us? This is an invitation to step into spaces where vulnerability is welcomed, authenticity is celebrated, and connection with others creates true strength and power.
"The beauty of genuine brotherhood and peace is more precious than diamonds or silver or gold." — Martin Luther King Jr.
Reclaiming Brotherhood
Throughout history, ancestral cultures and tribal traditions have provided men with spaces to connect, bond, and grow together.
Whether through sweat lodges, vision quests, or initiation ceremonies, these rituals were designed to foster deep connection and shared purpose. They allowed men to step into their roles within their communities with clarity, strength, and support.
However, in modern society, many of these traditions have disappeared. The spaces where men once gathered to share, reflect, and grow have been replaced by societal norms that often discourage vulnerability and emphasize stoic independence or competition. This leaves many men navigating their experiences in isolation, disconnected from themselves and from others.
Today, there is a need to reclaim and reimagine these spaces, not by recreating the past but by building something that reflects our realities and needs in today’s world. These spaces can provide the opportunity to question rigid ideas of masculinity, explore our identities, and connect with others in meaningful ways. They allow men to show up fully, bringing both their vulnerability and their strength into the conversation.
“Olivier’s presence nourishes a connection with oneself and the world that allows more joy and fulfillment to enter both. By being there for you like probably nobody has before, he shows you a way of relating that is truly transformative. It most definitely has been for me.“
Ariel M. – Hungary
Co-Creation and Exploration
I’m enthusiastic to co-creating these spaces. Through online men’s groups, retreats, and workshops, I aim to foster environments where men can:
- Find a space of understanding and self exploration
- Find their own answers on the ideas of masculinity and being human
- Build trust, and connection with others
- Rediscover their inner strength through vulnerability
- Fiend support and community together
Looking forward, I’m excited to offer live men’s retreats where we can explore these themes in greater depth. These gatherings will take place in natural settings, allowing nature to play a central role in grounding and inspiring us. Whether by a fire, through cold water immersion, or simply in quiet reflection among trees, these moments offer powerful reminders of our connection to something larger.
This work isn’t about fixing or defining masculinity—it’s about co-creating spaces for truth, vulnerability, and transformation. It’s about discovering what it means to be fully present as men, in relation to ourselves, to each other, and to the world around us.
The NVC Men’s Group
For the past five years, I’ve co-facilitated the NVC Men’s group with my friend Hans Van Veen.
This online gathering is designed for men with prior experience in Nonviolent Communication (NVC)—those who have attended workshops, participated in trainings, or developed their own understanding and practice. It’s a space for connection, exploration, and community.
What We Offer
In collaboration with my dear friend and NVC men’s group co-host, Hans Van Veen, this group provides a space for men to share what’s alive in them within the framework of NVC. Together, we focus on connecting to the feelings and needsbehind our experiences, fostering greater awareness and empathy.
- Open Sharing & Exploration: A safe space to share personal experiences, challenges, or emotions.
- Topic Discussions: Sessions occasionally focus on topics suggested by participants or ourselves.
- Guest Appearances: We sometimes invite guests to guide or share insights on NVC themes.
Our Approach
This group is a gift—completely free to join. It’s a space intentionally created to connect deeply and authentically, grounded in the principles of NVC.
Interested in Joining?
If you’d like to join, we’d love to hear from you. To maintain the group’s integrity, we ask participants to have prior NVC experience.
Please send me a message introducing yourself and sharing a bit about your journey with NVC—your experiences, workshops you’ve attended, or how you’ve integrated NVC into your life. From there, we can explore if this group feels like a good fit for you.
